Staying at All Star Music

The All Star Music resort is just one of those places that I can’t see myself staying. When you dig you can usually find yourself a comparable spot at one of the moderates at least, I’m just not sure this resort sings to me.
It’s got a fair sized food court, which seems a little noisy to me? It’s got what looks like a pretty nice pool in the shape of a giant guitar, but otherwise it’s pretty much a standard resort. Maybe resort is too big a word. Hotel? Motel? It looks very close in style to the Pop Century, where I have stayed so to it’s credit I don’t think you can really go wrong when you go to Disney, I’m just wondering if I’d rather save a little longer and go hit one of the moderates instead.
Looking at the videos of it on line it looks like there’s enough day-glow paint there to keep you awake all hours of the night, so you might want to consider some extra dark shades to carry with you for your stay.
What are your thoughts? Hit a moderate, or do you want a room over by the giant cowboy (There’s a snake in my…) boots? I can’t say much, at Pop Century I slept next to a giant Mickey Mouse telephone, so maybe there’s something to say about staying at one of these. It’ll keep you in the whimsy and in the Disney spirit without much trouble, that’s for sure.

I loved the All star Music resort when I stayed – it’s big but it’s lively and has a great atmosphere! I totally agree though, you can often find a comparable priced moderate resort… plus you tend to get a free dining plan at a moderate one xx
