Peter Pan’s Flight

When I was young, in the days of the dinosaurs before the opening of EPCOT… I loved Peter Pan’s flight. I considered it my favorite ride at the park back then. On that trip, we were only doing one land in the Magic Kingdom each day, but I was allowed to pick one thing to do regardless every day, and I think I picked Peter Pan’s flight every single one of them. The way I remember it, we even went back into the park the day we left just for one final ride before heading back to Atlanta.
I don’t remember if that’s really true anymore, and it doesn’t matter, but I wonder if that’s the reason that the line is always so long these days, all the people like me who remember that ride for what it was. I love that it’s basically a really slow moving indoor suspended coaster with scenery all lit with black lights.
One of my favorite tricks lately though is to grab fast passes for this one, and then hang out in the nearby Columbia Harbor House while I wait for them to come up.
