MagicBands and Bears, Oh My!

Bears. I love the Country Bear Jamboree. I’m not sure how it ended up in a week with 1900 Park Fare, Eating with the Founding Fathers at the Liberty Tree Tavern or The coming of the MagicBands, but they all just seemed to gel for me on a sub-nuclear level. This is the kind of week that I want to have when I go to Disney. You can plan, and you can have a map that gets you from attraction to attraction at record breaking speed to make sure that you get in all the must-dos on your list, but there is something to be said for winging it once in a while, and just enjoying yourself, that and trying new things. There’s always going to be an new interactive queue or a character you haven’t seen at the park since you were a child, or new “room keys” that connect to smart phone apps that could be the way you get fast passes and make ADRs in the future. I’ll be very interested in making sure I know all the ins and outs of those MagicBand before we get there next time.
I do hope Disney’s got a good band for me though… I have rather thick wrists and like my watch bands (when I wear one) pretty loose.
So, here’s what happened this week:
- Bears! At the Magic Kingdom. Yeah!
- Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
- Can you eat with the founding fathers?
- Putting on the Ritz at Disney’s Grand Floridian
- Who’s coming to dinner?
- OMG Disney’s MagicBands are gonna eat your baby!
